The Evidence Shelf

The loudest claim is rarely the most useful one. Start with the direct answer, then check the source.

01

INOSITOL

Is 40:1 the proven best ratio?

No. It is a studied ratio, not a settled winner.

WHAT WE KNOW

Some small studies used a 40:1 mix and measured hormone, metabolic, or reproductive outcomes.

WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW

Current guidance says there is not enough good evidence to recommend one exact type, dose, or ratio for everyone.

02

BERBERINE

Is berberine the same as metformin?

No. A supplement and a prescription medicine are not interchangeable.

WHAT WE KNOW

Small studies have compared berberine with metformin and measured some similar markers.

WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW

The evidence does not show that berberine is an equal or safer replacement. Do not change prescribed medicine because of a supplement study.

03

SPEARMINT

Does spearmint stop facial hair?

That claim goes further than the evidence.

WHAT WE KNOW

A short spearmint tea trial measured hormone changes in women with hirsutism.

WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW

The study did not prove that Cysta's extract stops hair growth. Tea and a standardized extract are different forms.

CYSTA'S RULE

Disclose the ratio. Do not call it proven best.

Explain the ingredient study. Do not turn it into proof for the whole kit.
